  1. As we travel through this desert
Storms beset us all the way,
    But beyond the river Jordan
Lies a land of endless day

    Farther on, still go farther
Count the milestones one by one
    Jesus will forsake you never
    It is better, farther on

Oh my brother are you weary
Of the roughness of the way
Does your strength begin to fail you
Let the Savior lead the way

    Farther on, still go farther
Count the milestones one by one
    Jesus will forsake you never
    It is better, farther on

Jesus, Jesus we’ll go with you
he will lead you to the throne
he will dye his garments for you
and the wine press trod alone

    Farther on, still go farther
Count the milestones one by one
    Jesus will forsake you never
    It is better, farther on

At my grave I’ll still be singing
Do not weep for one that’s gone
Sing it as we once did sing it
    “It is better, Farther on!”

    Farther on, still go farther
Count the milestones one by one
    Jesus will forsake you never
    It is better, farther on

  2. Good Afternoon Steve, I know its been awhile since you have been home. Hopefully having a short day and the weather being good you can just seat back and relax, maybe watch some football if you like

or find a local place and have a nice dinner. I enjoy being part of the road crew, and that being said I wish you have a blessed day.

  3. Great ride Steve I was in the DowningTown PA area for over 10 years . Born and raised in WS NC . 76 81 was the line back home 😉 Thank you for the ride. Some the roads has changed thru the years.

  4. Really enjoy the trips Steve,I’m at work again after a well deserved break.
But hope to catch up,real soon.
    Enjoy your well deserved break.

  5. I always enjoy when Steve’s trips take him into Pennsylvania….

I live in the Western PA mountains but I often travel to the Harrisburg area and to the Pennsylvania Dutch area in Strasburg as part of my railfanning hobby as there are plenty of trains around Harrisburg and Strasburg has a PRR Railroad Museum, a steam tourist railroad and a motel consisting of former cabooses converted into motel rooms.

The Route 81, 83, 283, 322 segments are frequently used by me on my trips to and through that area.

  6. Mama and daddy say hello btw 🙂 they’re quaranting still but it’s nice to have you in our state 😁
