Bummer! We had to stop short for the night in this rest area without restrooms! Can everybody hold it till morning? LOL

We left the Pilot in Hayti after the biggest part of the storm passed then we ran into the traffic from several big rigs that got blown over. In all, it took us 2 hours to travel 15 miles or so!! We were supposed to make it just about to our delivery in Indianola, Mississippi, but all that slow and stopped traffic didn’t stop our 14 hour clock! Then, our second choice was to stop in Memphis, Tennessee, but more delays caused us to get all the way down to 21 minutes on our clock…..and no way we could make it anywhere – except this old rest area. I suppose the only thing we can do now is do a split sleeper meaning we take an 8 hour nap, then run the rest of our hours which should take us all the way to delivery, and barely ontime…..

Did you see all the mess out on the Interstate? barrels everywhere and every highway sign blown over and bent flat to the ground! Glad we stopped instead of rolling right into that mess! I suppose all we can do now is take our nap and roll again in the morning! See ya then!
