Beckley, WV to Edwardsville, IL
Big Rig Travels day began at 6:25 am EDT. It was 62 degrees, dark and damp near Beckley, WV travel plaza. We are continuing our trip to Edwardsville, IL. “Going to be a long day today. Oh, there’s Greg Treadway” RoadCrew meet up and a wave to the road crew in the truck by Greg, aka Weirdo in the ditch. “Personalized delivery. How about that? What other trucker gets coffee delivered to him? We got to get going. Let’s go play in some mountains.”
Steve spots Greg, holding the road crew flag at 6:35 am as we are exiting back onto I-64 west.
Stopped at the Love’s near Grayson, KY at 8:58 am. Steve is able to get the telemetry reset. We were needing to wait on fuel authorization. Steve describes how fuel stops are determined. 30 minute break completed. Down to 436 gallons to Diamond.
Back onto I-64 at 9:54 am.
Love’s stop at Marengo, IN.
Rest area stop near Dale, IN at 2:24 pm to check messages.
Arrival at receiver to check in at 5:00 pm CDT near Edwardsville, IL. All we are going to do is drop this trailer and Bobtail Bob to a truck stop.
Numbers: 0 miles to receiver. There is no known next trip at the end of recording. We covered 567 miles rolling out of WV, through KY, IN and into IL.
Clocks: 0:51 hours on 11 hr, 2:04 hours on 14 hr, 14:56 hours on 70 hr. Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.
