There is 640 miles to go. “Buddy, buddy, let’s go!” 12 hours early, great start, “whoo whoop” BRS says “Been awhile since we been thru Oklahoma right?” as we roll onto I-255. BRS notes a nice little detour, IL73 near Centreville, IL to get to Love’s at 11:26 am.
Crossing the Mississippi River at 11:42 am “Welcome back to Missouri” near St. Louis on US50.
Pilot stop near Pacific, MO “Oh this is an adventure.” at 12:13 pm. “I know we never been here before.” Steve points out lots of law enforcement officers as we leave at 12:22 pm, then back on I-44 west.
Rain starts near St James, MO at 1:23 pm CDT.
“Alright we are back.” Steve had just completed phone call, taking care of some business at 2:38 pm near Lebanon, MO. Recording ends. It is 61 degrees and rain.
