Marshall, IL to Pontoon Beach, IL
Big Rig Travels Tuesday began at 9:29 am. It is 57 degrees and mostly sunny near Marshall, IL. “Hey look at that, its the fantabulous road crew. Alrighty, only have a little bit of driving today.” Delivery at 7:00 am tomorrow in St. Louis. “I say we get some Road Ranger coffee today…Now I remember why we don’t prefer Road Ranger, no coffee ready and cup issues.
Love’s stop at 10:12 am near Greenup, IL. BRS notes “now our Calbit inspection is due in 10 days.” Steve plays new hit BRT RC song. “Come along with us. We will climb every hill. Come join the road crew!..”
While BRS completes windshield wash and fueling, Steve explained that pump buttons did not work, that is why he had to go into store to have the pump turned on manually. We pull up to add refer tank fuel, “Ok now lets go get our receipt. We put in 50 gallons into tractor, 8 gallons DEF, 30 gallons of refer fuel. “Alright lets go get coffee she we?” Back on to I-70 west at 10:39 am CDT.
BRS states “we have to get solar panels our and do solar farming” as we entered the Flying J near Pontoon Beach, IL to end the day. He is parked at 12:29 pm. “Alrighty, that’s it, ok, so we were woking on split hours. 5:30 hrs before.”
Numbers: 19 miles to receiver, we will finish up in the morning. Another trip after this one, Texas bound! We covered 145 miles rolling within Illinois.
Clocks: 3:24 hours on 11 hr, 4:19 hours on 14 hr, 13:06hours on 70 hr. Gain back 6:50 hours tomorrow morning.
