Daily Summary for 5/3/2024

Yeah, its the weekend.

Big Rig Steve officially done at 14:56 CDT as we were headed into the shop to check on why we were getting the glitching with the truck computer, sonar and cruise control when we hit small bumps.

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at Love’s near Christiana, Tennessee at 10:35 CDT.  While waiting to get through the fuel line in advance of getting coffee, BRS mentions that freight is “stupid slow” and current trip plan is posted, but, as always, it is subject to change.  BRS played the audio liners and today’s included Jill making an appearance.  Then a discussion ensued about the new BRS website.  We rolled onto I-24 west

Second stream resumes at 10:59 CDT near Murfreesboro, TN.  We had beautiful sunshine as we rolled continued on I-24 deadheading closer to shipper in Covington, TN.,

Dark clouds began appearing at 11:23 CDT near College Grove, TN on I-40.  Steve said, “its getting spooky,”  and he began story time.

Rain began as we approached Priman Springs, TN at 11:47 CDT.

Third stream begins at 12:08 CDT near Dickson, TN.  We continue to have dark clouds ahead of us.  Blue Comet was experiencing continued rain at 12:17 CDT near McEwen, TN.

Near Cedar Grove, TN at 13:06 CDT Blue Comet rolled into the parking area stop to reset computer.  “We hit a bump,… which is never a good thing.”  While we were waiting for the reset, Steve was able to throw some trash into a nearby receptacle.  Back in the truck, “Successful computer reset!”

Near Jackson, TN at 13:36 CDT another bump causing loss of cruise control.  We drove on without cruise engaged.

Mass/Weigh station, ended up going through the bypass lane due to empty trailer at 13:59 CDT near Stanton, TN.  No issues.
