Bakersfield, CA to Jurupa Valley, CA

Big Rig Travels day began at 10:20 am.  It is 47 degrees, overcast and foggy near Bakersfield, CA.  The live load is completed and we are starting our trip to Tolleson, AZ via Jurupa Valley, CA.  “Lights on” as we are ready to leave.

Love’s stop near Bakersfield, CA for Cat Scale, fuel for all our tanks, onions and hot dogs at 10:42 am.

Weigh mass station at 11:36 am near Grapevine, CA, no issues.

BRS at 12:09 pm “Doesn’t it feel good to be in California” near Lebec, CA on the I-5.

I-5 truck route at 12:46 pm after going through a tunnel, Steve reminisced about the time he went through that same spot during an earthquake that he later found out had happened near Los Angeles.  Then, we experienced high winds on I-210 at 12:49 pm. 

Story time at 2:10 pm near Chino, CA on CA-60.

Big Rig Steve officially done at 2:27 pm near Jurupa Valley, CA.  It was 70 degrees and clear.  We were going to visit the terminal for the night.  Broadcast ended.

  1. So sorry that one of the Weirdos on the Overpass couldn’t make an appearance today. She had to work, and probably would have been blown away anyway by the Santa Ana winds.
