Madras, OR to Dunnigan, CA

Big Rig Travels day began at 7:02 am PST.  It is 32 degrees and overcast at the Love’s near Madras, OR.  We are continuing our trip to Shafter, CA.  “Glad to have you on the truck, on this Taco Tuesday…we may run into some weather later today.”  97 gallons to Platinum.

Welcome back to LaPine where we were a couple days ago at 8:21 am.

Half rain-half snow at 8:57 am near Crescent, OR.

Stopping at 9:05 am near Chemult, OR at the Pilot.  Snow covered road and lot, it is 34 degrees.  Got coffee and Hostess treats. 

Winter wonderland as we drive US97 at 9:32 am.

Welcome to California near Dorris at 10:57 am and soon after an inspection station, but no issues. 

In the fog near Weed, CA at 11:43 am, elevation above 4000 feet. 

Mt Shasta, CA weigh station, all trucks must stop, but no issues.

Love’s stop at 2:08 pm near Corning, CA for a 30 minute break.  It was 61 degrees and overcast.  26 gallons to Platinum for January.  Pizza was acquired.

Big Rig Steve officially done at the Pilot near Dunnigan, CA at 4:05 pm.  It was 57 degrees and overcast.

Numbers:  94 miles to the yard.  We covered 443 miles.  The trip had changed, so now will be dropping this load at the yard in Lathrop, CA and pick up another load to drop near Stockton, CA before 11:30 am.  

Clocks: 2:46 hours on 11 hr, 3:56 hours on 14 hr, 13:00 hours on 70 hr.  Gain back 7:28 hours tomorrow morning. Projected start time is 7:30 am tomorrow.

No alarm clock ⏰ tomorrow.
