Daily Summary for 3/13/2026

Kenly, NC to Middlesboro, KY

Big Rig Travels day began at 8:28 am.  It was 33 degrees and clear at the Petro near Kenly, NC.  We drove across the road to the Pilot for coffee, then continued our trip to Middlesboro, KY.

Slow down at 9:24 am on I-40 near Raleigh, NC.

Weigh mass station at 10:07 am near Mebane, NC.  Found out that the 50 pounds over was a non-issue as he was able to drive through.  No issues.

Story time, Steve spots a chair on the shoulder of I-40 at 10:36 am near Greensboro.  Reminisced about all the items he’s come across on the road over the years.

Welcome to Virginia at 11:57 am near Lambsburg.

Love’s stop near Lambsburg, VA at 12:01 pm where coffee was obtained.

Welcome to Tennessee, then an I-81 rest area stop at 2:11 pm.

Love’s stop at 3:11 pm near Bulls Gap, TN to top off the refer tank. 

Stream drops at 5:06 pm near Harrogate, TN.  Resumes at 5:11 pm near Middlesboro, KY on US 25E, Steve is on the side of the road, going to complete the 30 minute break while we are here as we couldn’t get to the receiver before the required 30 minute mandatory break.  A road crew meet up occurs with Chuck B and his daughter.

Arrival at 5:58 pm to check in at the receiver and stream ends at 6:08 pm as we were going to head in to the customer.
