Howdy America and the World ? !
We had TP as a surprise visitor yesterday for a bit before I took a nap while we waited for our 210am delivery appointment. It was great to see him. We had a painless delivery then scooted on over to our next shipper. We were supposed to load this yesterday but since the delivery was changed that in turn pushed out this loading time. As luck would have it, we rolled into the shipper gate at the exact moment they were opening it. They put us in a door and are actively loading us. There is a truckstop down the street but it has no scale to check my weight due to it’s close proximity to the State Weigh Station . Apparently, there is a law that truckstops can’t have a scale to even check your weight if they are near a State Scale house. Gee, if it isn’t hard enough out here, let’s make sure truckers don’t have a way to verify legal weights. We will just catch them ourselves! Haha. My solution is to head the opposite direction into Alabama where we can get to a truckstop scale before any weigh stations. This trick also changes our route so we end up going through Birmingham and Memphis and some backroads through Missouri and Arkansas . Oh, BTW, let’s get out of the area before the hurricane hits! On another note, we will hit our 14 hour rule early today since we started our clock at 130am!
