Ok, we are about to head down the street to our delivery in Opelika, Alabama. If you were watching the end of our stream today, you saw the strange drama unfold with the trucker parked next to us. Yes, it was a tight squeeze because everybody was parked close together. We stopped evenly between trucks and, while very close, there was still room for the guy to our right to open his door, etc. He got mad, started taking photos, and having a fit in is truck – literally. What you didn’t see was after we stopped broadcasting, he moved and angled his truck even closer to us so it would be impossible for me to get out without hitting his mirror. You can see by looking at the photo we took at just how dumb he was. Luckily, the truck to our left departed and we then moved up a bit to fully clear the yahoo on our right.
In other news, I have just updated our new FAQ section with three questions that were submitted by our viewers. The questions they presented are:
“Does the Elog device we use automatically transmit our data to any DOT office?”, “Which areas do you drive? Alaska/Canada/Mexico?”, and “What is the name of the closing song we use at the end of our live broadcasts?”. The answers can be found at the FAQ Page HERE.
We also just added two new things to the website. One of them is on the Map Box page, at the Verizon Data Map, I have now included a link to their live map that does allow you to move around and zoom all the way down to street level for anywhere in the country so you can get an accurate idea of signal quality. On the LIVE Broadcast page, under the dynamic data information box that contains the speed, altimeter, and weather information, you will find a refresh data button. Basically, the old website automatically updated the pages with the latest data. Now, when you go to the page, it will always show the latest data at the time of loading. If you wish you see updated information, you will need to hit that red button. Having you guys manually update it yourself when you actually want it saves us ALOT of resources.
And finally, at the bottom of the Map Box, we included the link to the Counties Visited Map. We had to use only the link since they do not allow other websites to embed their maps.
