So, it seems there is a glitch somewhere with Safety and we are on a Safety hold for the time being. Our medical DOT certificate expires on the 21st, but during time off I had a new certification accomplished. I sent copies to everyone, including the State of Texas. In years past, drivers would get the certificate and the long form. This year, doctors no longer give out the long form, but on the certificate, it tells anyone reading it how to request a copy directly from the doctors office. Apparently, our Safety department hasn’t done that yet and we are on hold. I just found out this morning why no trips were being handed to us. Now that this is the holiday weekend, there is nobody to call or get this solved. ?.
We did some shop work on the 15th, and was finished by noon on the 16th. We did have a trip scheduled for today, but they had to remove it because of this medical certificate problem… As soon as we get this all straightened out, we should be good to go, but who, what, when are all answers I don’t have until someone comes into their offices.
