Big Rig Steve officially done at 8:54 am safely parked near West Memphis, Arkansas. 66 degrees and cloudy/rainy.
Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 3:26 am in Edwardsville, Illinois after picking up the trailer at the shipper. 64 degrees and dark, dark, dark. Trailer was ready, so we got it. This will allow BRS driving longer before hitting rain, also longer downtime before another early start tomorrow.
Banner at 3:32 am indicating 74,500 subscribers! Congratulations BRS!
Steve advises “by the time we get to Memphis we will be in the hurricane, yay buddy.”
Stopper in Centreville, IL at 3:53 am at the Love’s first at the Cat Scale and then for fuel. “We’re ok, we could put in a 1000 gallons…I mean 1000 pounds. I say we put in one tank worth, that’ll get us there.” He also got fuel for himself (fresh coffee).
Welcome to Missouri at 4:28 am near Mehlville and then from I-255 to I-55.
Quick stop at the rest area in Fruitland, MO at 5:53 am.
Welcome to Arkansas at 7:41 am near Mississippi County. Bypass received for weigh-mass station.
Hit the rain just before 8:00 am.
Numbers: 20 miles to receiver. We covered 306 miles rolling out of Illinois, through Missouri and into Arkansas including a trailer pick up.
Clocks: 5:20 hours on 11 hr, 7:29 hours on 14 hr, 40:00 hours on 70 hr. Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.
