Daily Summary for 9/11/2024

Trip #2 completed, trip #3 starting

Big Rig Steve officially done at 2:18 pm safely parked near Pontoon Beach, Illinois, 89 degrees.

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 6:30 am, 55 degrees and hazy skies at the Flying J near Pontoon Beach, IL.  Continuing our trip to receiver in St. Louis, Missouri.

Welcome to Missouri on I-270 at 6:49 am, crossing the Chain of Rocks Bridge over the Mississippi River.

Arrival at receiver at 7:04 am for our live unload appointment at 7:45 am.  Waiting watch party starts.  Backed into a dock door at 7:51 am.  Phone overheated and broadcast ends.

New stream begins at 10:34 am, delivery completed, heading to the Flying J to top off the refer tank and the Blue Beacon to get a trailer washout.  

Welcome back to Illinois at 10:58 am near Madison.  Arrival at the Blue Beacon at 11:06 am with a long line for trailer washout. 

Fueling refer tank at 12:50 pm at Flying J.

Arrival at shipper to wait in queue at 1:10 pm, “oh look at the line.”  Checked in at 2:02 pm, load not ready, not even in a door yet.  We drop our trailer and bobtail out; done for the day.

Numbers:  We covered 19 miles rolling between Illinois and Missouri, including delivery, trailer washout, trailer drop.

Clocks: 10:25 hours on 11 hr,  8:12 hours on 14 hr,  46.51 hours on 70 hr.  Steve discusses that hours seem incorrect, company working on log books and he will have to do some manual entries.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.
