Big Rig Steve officially done at 15:17 EDT safely parked near Cartersville, Georgia. Found parking at the Race Trac Truck stop. BRS reports sending a hopeful message to planners, asking for a next trip to Seattle.
Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 8:40 CDT at the Love’s near Calvert City, Kentucky, continuing our trip to Rockmart, GA. BRS described it as a warm sticky morning. “We have all day to get to the receiver; appointment is not until 9:00 EDT tomorrow morning.”

Welcome to the Eastern Time zone near Whiteside, TN at 13:42 EDT.
Welcome to Georgia at 13:42 EDT near Trenton, then back into Tennessee at 13:46 EDT.
Another slowdown, this time near Chattanooga, TN at 13:53 EDT.
Welcome to Georgia near Ringgold, at 14:09 EDT.
Numbers: 25 miles to receiver. We covered 325 miles rolling out of Kentucky, thru Tennessee into Georgia (back into Tennessee and then into Georgia).
Clocks: 5:29 hours on 11 hr, 7:59 hours on 14 hr, 54 hours on 70 hr. Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.
No alarm clock ⏰ tomorrow. Plan is to leave around 7 or 7:30 and take 1/2 hour of backroads to the receiver. Was looking in today and heard you mention you wondered what the Silver Comet Trail is. If nobody has told you already, it’s a 61.5 mile recreational trail which connects to a trail in Alabama. They have a website which can give you more info if you are curious. I enjoy watching your journeys.
