Day one back on the road

Big Rig Steve officially done at 18:33 CDT safely parked in the back 40 near Calvert City, Kentucky. 

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 6:49 CDT near Belvidere, Illinois starting our trip to the shipper near Manteno, IL. As we roll out, on our way to big road, BRS describes activities during off time.  BRS asks the road crew not to email him and request when we are returning to driving after off time.

Arrival at the shipper near Manteno at check in at 9:10 CDT, appointment time is at 11:00 CDT.  Backed into dock door at 11:24 CDT.

Leaving the shipper with status changed to “on time to delivery” at 12:09 CDT.

Stopped at the Love’s near Kankakee, IL for coffee at 12:45 CDT.

Rolled into the rest area at 16:00 CDT near Salem, IL. Steve threw together a quick lunch.

Welcome to Kentucky at 17:54 CDT as we crossed the Ohio River.  A short time later tried to find parking at the ugly, old, small Pilot near Paducah, KY but with no luck.  We rolled on.

Numbers:  350 miles to receiver.  We covered 469 miles rolling through Illinois and into Kentucky, stopping at one customer.

Clocks: 2:36 hours on 11 hr,  1:22 hours on 14 hr,  60:08 hours on 70 hr.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.
