Big Rig Travels Tuesday began at 8:40 am CDT. It is 73 degrees and clear in Birmingham, AL. There are two recordings today, one 5 hours, one about 3:34 hrs. First recording starts while we are at the Pilot (formerly Flying J) and continuing our trip to Hernando, MS. BRS was checking yesterday’s recording, noting that telemetry was missing.
Roll on to I-65 north then exit on to I-22 west.
At 8:58 am, BRS says “I love this nice quiet undeveloped highway” near Graysville, AL.
“On, somebody made a mess on the bridge.” BRS follows up with story time about other things he seen laying on the road at 9:04 am near Adamsville, AL.
Welcome to Mississippi near Tremont at 10:21 am.
Weigh mass station on I-22 near Fulton, MS at 10:31 am. No issues.
Love’s stop near Tupelo, MS at 11:00. As we were ahead of schedule, parked to get coffee and onions with hotdogs.
“We can’t show up before 2:00 pm so we decided to have lunch.” Resumes driving at 12:08 pm back onto I-22 with 68 miles to go.
Recording ends as we arrive at receiver near Hernando, MS at 1:48 pm.
Recording resumes at 8:39 pm after it taking 5.5 hours to get unloaded. It is 79 degrees and dark.
Stop at 9:20 pm for refer fuel and coffee.
Blue Beacon at 9:30 pm for $48 trailer washout.
Status changed to “headed to shipper” near Covington, TN.
Arrival at shipper at 11:00 pm to check in for drop and hook of preloaded trailer.
Leaving shipper at 12:03 am to find a secret parking spot nearby. Safely parked at 12:07 am.
“OK, numbers” “Long long day” “paperwork paperwork”


Numbers: We covered 311 miles including a 5 hour delivery, trailer washout and drop/hook rolling out of Alabama, within Mississippi and then to Tennessee.
Clocks: 1:02 hours on 11 hr, 1:02 hours on 14 hr, 50:54 hours on 70 hr. Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.
No alarm clock ⏰ tomorrow.
