Daily Summary for 6/24/2025

Elk Grove Village, IN to Sellersburg, IN to Indianapolis, IN

Midnight Run began at 1:40 am leaving Elk Grove Village, IL.  It was 78 degrees and dark.  BRS gets his nighttime glasses and completes paperwork.  “I don’t want to do this.” he sings.  We have a 7:00 am appointment and then a noon reload.

Stop at the Love’s at 1:52 am for fuel and coffee.  He adjusts camera position and views. while stopped.  There are fueling issues, “Fuel coming out slower than a kitchen sink.”  He gets 10 gallons and is now 70 gallons away from Platinum.  With this trip and next to go, he thinks he will make it.

He reports that he recorded his trip from PA to IL and somehow managed to successfully delete it before uploading to youtube

He reports that he made our delivery and we showed up on Saturday, parked the vehicle, had his buddy pick him up and bring him home few a few days before his next appointment.  He did some cooking and then worked on a production cart in preparation for Belvidere Heritage Days coming up at the end of the month.

Weigh station closed at 3:42 am.

Skies start lighting up with early dawn at 5:30 am. 

BRS points out an accident on the northbound lanes.  The road has been closed for the tow truck and there is a long back up at 6:05 am. 

Exit the main road at 6:27 am and are only 1/2 mile from delivery near Lebanon, IN, which is a drop and hook.  He reports he will get a trailer washout which is right there as well.

Arrives at delivery at 6:31 am and broadcast ends. 

Big Rig Travels Tuesday began at 11:21 am EDT.  It was 92 degrees and mostly sunny.  We are leaving Sellersburg, IN, starting our trip to Wilmington, IL.  “We are outta here before our appointment time.”  We have 3 hrs 14 minutes left on our 14 hour clock.  We head out onto I-65 north.

End of the day is at the Flying J, near Indianapolis, IN at 1:20 pm.
