Daily Summary for 5/14/2024

Push onto Delivery

Big Rig Steve officially done at 19:28 EDT safely parked at the Flying J near Indianapolis, Indiana.  A road crew meet up occurred shortly after arrival at 19:54 EDT.  

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at Bentleyville, Pennsylvania at 10:03 EDT at the Pilot.  

 

“Welcome to West Virginia” at 10:50 EDT near Valley Grove.

Crossing at 11:04 EDT, the “OHIOoooo Riverrrrrr”, Steve exclaimed.  “Welcome to Ohio” near Bel Aire.  

I-70 at 11:54 EDT a weigh/mass station near Cambridge, OH.  No bypass today.  BRS said “look at all the trucks in the back being inspected. Woo Hoo, made it through that one.”  No issues. 

BRS stopped at 12:07 EDT, parked near the exit of a closed rest area to check messages for “new trip.”

Love’s stop at 12:18 EDT near Zanesville, OH, waiting in the fuel line, BRS said “Are we behind the guy that went in to take a shower?”  That driver appears with food and then wants to pump fuel.  Became an awkward situation when the driver couldn’t hear what Steve was saying.

Rain began near Dayton, OH near 14:38 EDT.

Broadcast resumed at 14:56 EDT, after being lost a few minutes earlier.  

“Welcome to Indiana” at 15:13 EDT.

Stopped at a rest area at 15:26 EDT near Greens Fork, IN.  Will be needing to replace the tape holding the camera in place.

Arrival at receiver at 18:05 EDT near Mooresville, IN to complete our drop with the trailer.  Extended this drop into a 30 minute break by stopping just outside the customer to complete the last few minutes.

Numbers:  We covered 394 miles 634 km including a drop at a customer, driving out of Pennsylvania, through a bit of West Virginia, then through Ohio and into Indiana.  It was a 4 state day.

Clocks: 3:09 hours on 11 hr,  3:41 hours on 14 hr,  53:36 hours on 70 hr.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.

  1. Hi Steve and monitor. Got your message live video problem fixed. Came on OK earlier this morning but no trip map. Came back about an hour after you got your load and got this message;—–>>>

    I copied that directly from your trip page. One suggestion, about three weeks ago on Sunday, YouTube changed something about their API addresses. Maybe that’s where the problem is.
