Daily Summary for 4/29/2025

Birmingham, AL to Brookhaven, MS

Big Rig Travels Tuesday began at 8:49 am.  It is 70 degrees and overcast at the Birmingham TA.  “Humid day, good morning everybody.”  Steve started playing one of the new BRT road crew songs to start the day.  We are continuing our trip to Brookhaven, MS.   

“Welcome to Mississippi” at 10:55 am near Lauderdale on I-20.

Love’s stop near Toomsuba, MS at 11:04 am CDT.  Refer fuel and coffee obtained.

BRS points out at 1:55 pm, “Dudes, Sausage and Biscuit Hut, on the left, must not be very good, nobody is there, huh” near Brookhaven, MS.  “See the orange guy dancing, that’s how I feel when I get a cup of Love’s coffee.  Dancing, dancing, doing the wiggle.”

Arrival at the receiver at 2:01 pm to check in.  Steve informs Zelda, “yes, we’ve stopped.”  We complete the drop and hook. Another trip safely completed at 2:41 pm. “Alright, let’s go.”

Big Rig Steve safely parked at 2:52 pm, “alright, so we are done for the day” at the Shell truck stop in Brookhaven.  It was 85 and partly cloudy.  Recording ends at 2:56 pm.

Numbers:  We covered 294 miles rolling out of Alabama and into Mississippi.

Clocks: 12:30 hours on 70 hr.  Gain back 8:30 hours tomorrow morning.
