Big Rig Travels day began at 11:51 am CST at the Marathon truck stop at Tilton, IL. We are starting our trip “Bobtail Bob” to Oakwood, IL for fuel then onto Manteno, IL to pick up an empty trailer.
Love’s stop at Oakwood for fuel, 449 gallons to gold for April.
Arrival near Manteno, IL to pick up the empty trailer at the yard. Broadcast stops at 2:17 pm CST. Resumes at 2:53 pm, with a good trailer acquired and headed to the shipper.
Love’s stop near Kankakee, IL for coffee and hotdogs with red onions.
Arrival at the shipper at 4:50 pm to check in near Champaign, IL to complete the drop and hook of a preloaded trailer. Leaving the shipper at 5:35 pm and starting our trip to Groveport, OH.
Big Rig Steve officially done at 6:14 pm at the Love’s near Oakwood, IL after completing a CAT scale weigh-mass check. We were legal. It was 42 degrees and dark.
Numbers: ?? miles to receiver. We covered 253 miles today. Delivery anytime tomorrow. Estimated start is 7-7:30 am.
Clocks: 5:32 hours on 11 hr, 6:22 hours on 14 hr, 62:45 hours on 70 hr. Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.
Addendum: Steve had noted that he had rented a vehicle during this last extended time off and put on over 700 miles between Belvidere, IL and trips to Chicago RV show, the RV dealership in Huntley, IL and Indianapolis where Blue Comet was left before his time off.
