Big Rig Travels day began at 7:02 am PST. It is 53 degrees, dark and wet at the TA near North Bend, WA. “Alright, let’s go! It’s going to be messy, rained all night long.” We are continuing our trip to Lacy, WA. We had 71 miles to go to delivery. “We start gaining back hours tomorrow, Tuesday.” I-90 westward in the rain.
At 7:48 am, “Alright, welcome to Auburn where there’s a lot of flooding going on.”
We are now on WA-18 and the slowdown occurs.
We exit onto I-5 at 8:17 am near Federal Way, WA.
Arrival at the receiver at 9:00 am to check in for our 10:00 am appointment. It is 53 degrees and still raining.
Steve cameo at 9:14 am in front of the Blue Comet. Backed into dock door at 9:30 am. Delivery is complete after only 30 minutes.
Love’s stop at 10:47 am near Napavine, WA to top off refer fuel, coffee, onions with hotdogs. We are now 450 gallons from Platinum.
Steve spots road crew on an I-5 overpass at 11:46 am near Kelso, WA. Colby Flynafinn had been standing in the rain to wave at the road crew and BigRigSteve.
Rest area stop near Ridgefield, WA at 12:14 pm.
Crossing the Columbia River at 12:39 pm across the Interstate bridge. Welcome to Oregon near Portland.
Slow down on I-5 going through Portland at 12:46 pm.
Big Rig Steve officially done at the Love’s near Millersburg, OR at 2:08 pm PST. It is 59 degrees and overcast.
Numbers: 584 miles to receiver #2 on Wednesday.
Clocks: 1:46 hours on 70 hr. Gain back 7:21 hours tomorrow morning.
