Greenville, VA to Upper Allen Twp, PA
Big Rig Travels day began at 12:03 pm EST near Greenville, VA. It is 59 degrees and sunny. No coffee available at the Love’s. BRS advises that his load has been cancelled due to lack of product by the customer. As a result, the next trip is also cancelled. BRS plans are to return to the shipper in Stuarts Draft, VA and try to pick up the trailer he dropped last night. He has one trip remaining to Lebanon, IN, but is a 200 mile dead head that he can still make. After getting empty at the prior customer, we are on our way to Mechanicsburg, PA to load as soon as we can get there.
Love’s stop at Toms Brook, VA at 2:05 pm for coffee, hot dogs and onions.
Welcome to West Virginia at 2:50 pm near Ridgeway, home of the BRT Weirdos, three of the best West Virginia road crew.
At 3:15 pm we enter Maryland near Williamsport. and twelve minutes later at 3:27 pm cross into Pennsylvania near Antrim Twp.
Arrive at the shipper near Upper Allen Twp, PA (Mechanicsburg) at 4:37 pm. BRT advises, “A preloaded trailer doesn’t exist, so they are going to live load us. Does that surprise anyone?” Backed into dock door at 4:52 pm.
BRS is loaded and leaving shipper at 6:46 pm. We are starting our trip to Lebanon, IN. We parked right outside shipper on the street for the evening. Broadcast ends at 6:52 pm, start at 6:00 am tomorrow at the earliest.
Numbers: 550 miles to receiver, delivery is Sunday. We covered 223 miles rolling out of VA, through WV, MD and into PA.
Clocks: 6:51 hours on 14 hr, 17:31 hours on 70 hr. Gain back 5 hours tomorrow morning.
No alarm clock ⏰ tomorrow.
