Daily Summary for 11/4/2025

SouthHill, VA – Quakertown, PA – Penn Forest, PA

Big Rig Travels day began at 5:01 am EDT.  It is 47 degrees and dark at the Love’s near South Hill, VA.  We are continuing our trip to Quakertown, PA.  

At 8:10 am, Steve advises we were on a drawbridge near Washington, DC.  

“Alright, welcome to Maryland” at 8:11 am near National Harbor.

Stop at the Sunoco Service Plaza near Charleston, MD at 10:06 am.  First stop of the day, going to stretch our legs. “A+ they have good coffee.”  We take care of our 30 minute break and roll back onto I-95 at 10:56 am.

Advised he had 96 miles to go. 

TA fuel stop near Elkton, MD at 11:11 am.  “Why so high, $6.02 a gallon.  Wow!” 50 gallons for the Blue Comet.

Welcome to Delaware at 11:25 am near Newark.

All trucks needed to exit into a rest area/weigh station at 11:50 am near Upper Chichester Township, PA.  “You need to pay attention every single rest area is a potential weigh station.”

Arrival at the receiver at 1:06 pm to check in for our 3:00 pm appointment near Richland Twp, PA.  Backed into a door at 1:17 pm. Delivery completed, Steve advised only 45 minutes to get unloaded.

Starting our next dead head trip to the shipper near West Hazelton, PA (leaving the last receiver at 3:46 pm).  We need to find parking, we only have two hours left.

Big Rig Steve officially done at PA Turnpike Travel Plaza near Penn Forest, PA at 4:51 pm.  Our load appointment is at 9:00 am tomorrow.

Numbers: 34 miles to shipper. We traveled out of VA, into MD, then DE and into PA.

Clocks: 1:48 hours on 14 hr, 31:26 hours on 70 hr.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning. 

No alarm clock ⏰ tomorrow.
