Antrim Twp, PA-Harrisburg- Mechanicsburg-Jonestown-Johnstown- Hempfield, PA
Big Rig Travels began at 11:00 pm EST (11/25). It was 46 degrees and foggy near Antrim Twp, PA rest area. “Alright, let’s go play. What a mess this place is.” We are continuing our trip to receiver near Harrisburg, PA for our 1:00 am EST delivery appointment after a 7 hour break. We are doing a split clock.
TA stop near Atrim Twp, PA for coffee, then back on the road. “Are we there yet?” at 11:20 pm.
Arrival at the receiver at 12:25 am. Steve advised we were here two years ago and it was a zoo with all trucks trying to get to a door at the same time. We are backed into a dock door at 1:33 am and Steve breaks into story time at 1:34 am. Then road crew ask questions for Big Rig Steve to answer while we wait for our unload to be completed.

Another trip safely completed at 3:44 am, leaving the shipper on personal conveyance to find closest safe parking.
Parking acquired near Upper Allen Twp, PA on side of a dead end road at 4:09 am. It is 46 degrees, dark and foggy. No drive time left. 13:13 left on the 70 hour clock. No next trip was scheduled at this this time, so “we are going to bed.” Steve advises that the snow man camera is on. He also reports a code for 25% off on Thursday at the BRT store and order a calendar and free Christmas card.
At 1:25 pm, Steve goes live again, he is waiting in the fuel island. It is 62 degrees at the Love’s near Union Twp, PA. He has changed trailers at the yard in Jonestown, PA and has a dry van now due to picking up a heavy load. We are starting our trip to the shipper in Johnstown, PA to pick up a preloaded trailer. At 1:33 pm he is on I-81 and hits a slowdown right away. He then gets onto I-76 west where it starts raining.
We go through the double tunnels at 2:55 pm near Lurgan Twp, PA and now it is sunny. Another tunnel, third of the day at 3:07 pm near Metal Twp, PA.
Off the interstate at Bedford Twp, PA at 3:38 pm and on to backroads.
He pulls on the the side of the road at 4:29 pm near Richland Twp, PA to check out the route, then audio was muted at 4:43 pm.
Arrival at the shipper at 4:43 pm, gets out to check in. He then continues on to another lot. Unmuted at 4:58 pm and he reports he has checked into shipper, their lot is crowded so he is told to drop trailer at another lot and then bobtail back to where he checked in to pick up the preloaded trailer. He has troubles finding the assigned trailer and checks out multiple lots before finding the trailer at 5:26 pm. He stops to complete paperwork. 44,852, “Oh, I hope we’re legal.” He also advises he has sent a “running late status” as the load was not going to make it to delivery which originally scheduled for midnight tonight. His planners were aware. We are leaving shipper at 5:57 pm.
Big Rig Steve officially done at 7:12 pm at a service travel plaza near Hempfield, PA. STOP THE CLOCK! It is 39 degrees and dark. Stream ends at 7:21 pm.
Numbers: 389 miles to receiver near Indianapolis, delivery tomorrow. We covered 289 miles, had three different trailers.
Clocks: 2:17 hours on 11 hr, 2:17 hours on 14 hr, 3:58 hours on 70 hr. Gain back 6:59 hours tomorrow morning.
No alarm clock ⏰ tomorrow. We are stopping for a full 10 hour break, since we’ve been on split clocks. We have several other trips lined up. Cat scale tomorrow morning (9 miles away).
