Daily Summary for 11/23/2025

Adairsville, GA to Steele, AL

Big Rig Travels day began at 10:42 am at the Quik Trip near Adairsville, GA.  It was 60 degrees and sunny.  We are continuing our trip to Opelika, AL on I-75.  

Around 11:32 am we are going around Atlanta, GA on I-285.

Love’s stop near West Point, GA to top off the refer tank at 12:58 pm.  We are now 394 gallons to Diamond.  It is 72 degrees and sunshine.

On I-85 we cross over the Chattahoochee River at 1:15 pm, then welcomed into Alabama near Lanett. “Alright we are entering back into Central Time.”  It is now 12:22 pm, we gain an hour.

Welcome to Opelika at 12:26 pm.

Camera is flipped at 12:28 pm as we near the receiver which doesn’t allow filming on site.  Arrive at the receiver at 12:31 pm.  Camera is flipped back at 1:03 pm as we are leaving the receiver after the drop was completed.  Another trip safely completed.

Now the backroads of Alabama, including small towns and cotton fields.

A brief stop at a Sunoco station near Five Points, AL at 1:58 pm.  BRS was hoping for fried okra and Southern Pecan Coffee, but no coffee.

As we drove through Wedowee, AL at 2:38 pm, Steve notes we still have 90 miles to the shipper.  We are not even halfway done with the backroads. 

Big Rig Steve officially done at 4:16 pm at the Love’s near Steele, AL. Plan is to go live around 6:30  or 7:00 am CST.

Numbers: 33 miles to shipper with an 8:00 am live load near Albertsville, AL.  We covered 291 miles plus a delivery.

Clocks: 5:06 hours on 11 hr, 6:43 hours on 14 hr, 5:06 hours on 70 hr.  Gain back 12:40 hours tomorrow morning.
