Daily Summary for 11/2/2025

Jeffersonville, OH to Lambsburg, VA

Big Rig Travels day began at 8:55 am EST.  It was 42 degrees and overcast at the Love’s near Jeffersonville, OH.  We are continuing our trip to Salisbury, NC.  “Sunday Edition”  We are stuck behind ICX big rig, blocking the fuel island exit.  We are exiting at 9:00 am as the Road Crew song is being played.  Rolled onto US 35.

“So we have gone 100 miles, is it time for coffee?” at 10:33 am.  Love’s stop at 10:35 am near Bidwell, OH.  

“Alright, welcome to West Virginia” at 11:04 am near Henderson.

I-64 near Teays Valley at 11:38 am.  

Stream dropped at 12:36 pm near Eskdale, WV.  Resumed at 12:53 pm near Scarbro, WV toll plaza.  The charging cord had fallen out sometime earlier due to bumpy roads.  

Blue Comet honks its horn at 1:05 pm as Steve sees Greg Treadway at the Beckley Travel Plaza as we drove past.

Entering East River Mountain Tunnel near Bluefield, WV at 1:51 pm.

Welcome to Virginia near Rocky Gap at 1:52 pm as we exit the tunnel.  

Near Bland, VA we roll through another tunnel at 2:11 pm.  Stream is dropped.  Resumed at 2:14 pm near Wytheville, VA.  It is now 53 degrees and partly cloudy.

We continue on I-77 south near Fort Chiswell, VA at 2:27 pm.

Big Rig Steve officially done at the Love’s near Lambsburg, VA at 3:03 pm.

Numbers: 80 miles to receiver, we are stopping short due to limited parking between here and delivery.  Delivery is at 9:00 am tomorrow, will leave around 7:00 am.  We covered about 324 miles rolling out of Ohio, through WV and into VA.

Clocks: 5:12 hours on 11 hr, 7:15 hours on 14 hr, 49:16 hours on 70 hr.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.
