Daily Summary for 11/19/2025

Gary, IN-Kenosha, WI-Joliet, IL-Portage, IN

Big Rig Travels day began at 12:59 pm leaving yard near Gary, IN.  It is 41 degrees, dark and overcast. 
“We’re only one hour behind.”  We are starting our trip to Kenosha, WI for a 3:00 am delivery.  We are taking the Chicago Skyway, then through downtown Chicago.

Love’s stop near Wadsworth, IL at 2:33 am for coffee.

Arrival at receiver to check in at 2:56 am.

At 5:48 am lumper fee paid and by 5:57 am, BRS advises “we got bad product, so that means we are going to truck stop and ask boss what they want to do with the bad product, then we are going to take a nap.”  “Our next trip that loads in Joliet is preloaded and we can pick it up anytime before midnight.”  Leaving receiver at 6:00 am. 

Parked at the Kwik Trip at 6:08 am near Village of Somers, WI.  Checked paperwork to determine issues, seven cases of product being rejected.  He needs to take photos of the issues to send to bosses.

At 6:18 am “Ok, so one can crushed so they refused twelve of them, big waste.”  Steve mutes audio at 6:21 am so he can take care of business and go take a nap.

Audio resumes at 10:47 am.  It is 43 degrees and mostly cloudy.  We have 4:32 left on the 70 hour clock.  Gain 12 hours tomorrow.  Arrive at the Blue Beacon at 11:24 am near Caledonia, WI for a trailer washout.

Stream reboot at 11:57 am after the washout completed and resume with starting our trip to shipper near Joliet, IL.

Welcome to Illinois at 12:20 pm near Wadsworth, IL.  Story time at 12:23 pm about being a new driver and going to a chicken plant.

Arrival at shipper near Joliet, IL at 1:48 pm to check in.  “Wow this place is jam packed busy.”  “Problem is tis loaded for us or not?”

“OK?  Ready to go?” at 2:42 pm.  Status changed to “on time to delivery”, starting our trip to Streetsboro, OH.

Near Monkena, IL, 3:00 pm one hour left on the 70 hour clock.

Welcome to Indiana near Muster at 3:20 pm.

Big Rig Steve officially done at the I-80/I-90 Indiana toll road travel plaza near Portage, IN at 3:45 pm.

Clocks: 0:12 hours on 70 hr.  Gain back 12:07 hours tomorrow morning and 11 hours the next day. 

Drop tomorrow whenever we get there tomorrow.  Stream ends at 3:54 pm.
