7:35 CDT stopped for coffee at the Loves near Syracuse, NE “you don’t mind if I stop for coffee, do you?”
7:47 BRS points out a red truck with a flatbed load of onions, explained that they may be subject to freezing, ruining the load, which leads to story time about a delivery to Council Bluffs, Iowa, mess.
8:00 CDT greenlight, another weigh/mass station, free pass near Nebraska City, NE.
8:05 CDT BRS comments on how nice this new bypass is compared to the old back road we used to have to travel.
8:08 CDT Welcome to Iowa sign greeted us as we cross the Missouri River near Percival, Iowa then on to I-29 south.
8:23 CDT Welcome to Missouri near Watson, Missouri; third state for the morning.
15:31 We eventually rolled in to Illinois.

Upon entering our location for ending our day BRS said “That’s my spot…Boom!“ No one is going to steal our spot. Yes, as most days, BRS lands another amazing spot for road crew to view.
Numbers : 688 mile 1107 km to the receiver, we covered 621 miles 999 km; rolling out of Nebraska into and out of Iowa into and across Missouri, through Illinois, and finally into Kentucky. Our eight day running total 2,661 miles 4282 km. Mpg today 8.7 for the trip, 8.2 MPG. Yes we are doing good
Clocks : 12 mins on 11 hr, 1:55 hours on 14 hr, 17:59 hours on 70 hr. Do not gain back any hours tomorrow morning. We are 357 gallons away from Loves Diamond status for November.
