Emporia, KS to Sterling, IL

Big Rig Travels day began at 8:30 am at the rest area off the Kansas Turnpike near Emporia, KS.  It is 27 degrees and cloudy, “foggy, hazy, yucky day”.  We are continuing our trip to Sterling, IL.  

Love’s stop for coffee at 9:27 am near Tecumseh, KS.

Welcome to Missouri at 10:36 am near Kansas City.  It is now sunny.

Love’s stop at 11:25 am near Cameron, MO, “need fuel since we are at EEEEEEEE.”  After getting back in the truck, Steve advises we can complete a 30 minute break if we sit for another 5 minutes, so he creeps to a parking spot along the edge of the lot.  We are back moving by 12:00 pm.

Welcome to Iowa near Lamoni at 12:59 pm.

Love’s stop near Newton, IA at 2:50 pm.  We ended up backing out of the fuel island as “we ain’t got all day to wait.”

Arrive at Love’s near Davenport, IA at 5:13 pm where we are going to stop for a split.  We will meet with road crew LST in the  Love’s restaurant.  We will head out at 10:00 pm to get to delivery which is about one hour away.

Stream resumes at 9:51 pm and we head off towards the receiver.  Stream ends at 10:58 pm as we near delivery in Sterling, IL for our 12:04 am appointment.

Numbers: 0 miles to receiver/shipper.
