Phoenix, AZ to Santa Rosa, NM

Big Rig Travels day began at 8:20 am MST.  It is 58 degrees and overcast.  Elevation is 1023 feet as we leave the terminal near Phoenix, AZ with a trailer that was brought by another driver and dropped at the yard.  Starting our trip to Sterling, IL.  “Good morning, happy new year”  Steve advised we have a tight trip, we have to deliver four minutes after midnight on 1/4 which leaves us with 1,700 miles in three days.

Stop at the QT at 8:27 am near Phoenix, AZ for coffee.

Love’s stop at 9:52 am near Mayer, AZ, elevation 3817 feet.

Stream dropped at 11:38 am and resumed at 11:44 am, suspected Starlink connection issue near Camp Verde, AZ.

Welcome to Flagstaff, AZ, elevation 7000 feet at 11:47 am.  We exit onto I-40 east at 11:50 am.

Storytime at 11:54 am, Steve reminisces about early in his career breaking down in a Volvo, being towed to the dealership and needing to sneak TK the truck cat into the hotel.

Love’s stop at Joseph City, AZ.  “No fuel or nothing, just coffee.  Coffee and medicine and other assorted things” at 1:09 pm.  Back to the truck at 1:25 pm, so decided to finish out a 30 minute break.  

Welcome to New Mexico at 2:59 pm near Gallup.

Got a bypass at the New Mexico weigh mass station at 3:09 pm.

Storytime at 5:20 pm near Albuquerque, NM about when Steve had been here to film his Pilot commercials.

Big Rig Steve officially done at 7:20 pm MST near Santa Rosa, NM at the Love’s.

Numbers: 1080 miles to receiver.  We covered 591 miles rolling within Arizona and New Mexico.

Clocks: 1:00 hours on 11 hr, 1:56 hours on 14 hr, 33:29 hours on 70 hr.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning. 

No alarm clock ⏰ tomorrow.
