On April 30, 2018, we stayed overnight at the Gulf station in Elba, Alabama while we waited for our load to be ready the next morning. It was a very nice locally owned station that has, in my opinion, a very bright future. The lot had about 25 truck parking spaces and was very clean. Lots of truck traffic rolled through the day and a handful stayed overnight. The store was well organized, had a dining area with food, TV, plugs for phones, coffee selection, boiled peanuts, fishing poles, and even a locker full of crickets for sale. Perfect little country store with everything you might need for a day on the river or an overnight stay for the truckers. The customer service was excellent and they even had a sign warning customers that THEY better behave as well!
