Stop at the Love’s for CAT scale near Napoleon, OH. Steve needs to weigh four separate times to get the tandems in the right spot. After the 4th time, Steve was as close as he could get the load balanced. He stopped to get coffee and had a brief Road Crew visit at 1:05 pm before leaving. At this point we have 343 miles to go and can’t drop until tomorrow afternoon.

At 2:25 pm he gets onto I-69 near Ft Wayne, IN. He receives a bypass at the weigh station at 2:40 pm. “Bypass!! Yes, buddy, woo, alright, bypass, bypass” near Wayne, IN.
At 2:56 pm near Marion, IN there is a big rig accident and fire less than a minute in front of him. Traffic comes to a stop. Road is now shut down as we see the smoke billowing up. Steve advises as we are shut down, that he is still considered on duty since he is on the road and needs to be ready to move, however the drive 11 hr clock is not running. Officials are able to have cars and small trucks turn around and exit the area first. The big rigs need to wait until the road opens up after moving to the side. He is still stopped and waiting at 4:34 pm and reports we have 235 miles to go, with 5.5 hours on the 70 hr clock. By 5:02 pm BRS is moving again.
