Big Rig Travels day began at 5:23 am EDT. It is 66 degrees and dark at the QT near Adairsville, GA. We are continuing our trip to the receiver near Cartersville, GA.
Arrival at the receiver at 5:49 am. Backed into the door at 6:02 am. Delivery completed at 7:08 am.
Now deadheading to the next shipper near Kennesaw, GA.
Love’s stop near Emerson, GA at 7:28 am. Fuel and coffee were obtained.
Stream ends at 8:02 am.
Stream resumes at 8:29 am near Kennesaw, GA. Steve reports that the camera battery had died (The frog apparently tripped over the power cord and didn’t alert Steve.)
Arrival at the shipper to check in at the saber gates at 8:42 am. Completed the drop and hook by 9:03 am. Status changed to “on time to delivery”. We are now starting our trip back to Brookhaven, MS.
At 10:16 am, stopped at the Pilot near Villarica, GA to check the mass weight on the CAT scale. “We’re ok, right where we are.”
Welcome to Alabama at 10:02 am near Helfin. We gain an hour entering back into Central Time Zone.
We were called into the weigh mass station at 10:10 am, no issues.
Welcome to Mississippi near Lauderdale at 1:27 pm.
Love’s stop near Toomsuba, MS at 1:36 pm. Fuel obtained along with a 30 minute break.
Arrived at delivery near Brookhaven, MS to complete the drop and hook at 4:51 pm. Another trip safely completed at 5:11 pm.
Deadheading to the Shell truck stop. On our way, the next trip gets removed. We found parking at the Shell at 5:21 pm. Steve declines two shorter trips that were sent in replacement as he surmises he cannot complete in one day. Stream ends at 5:29 pm.
Numbers: ? miles to next shipper. We covered 481 miles, carrying 3 trailers and visited 3 customers rolling out of Georgia, through Alabama and back into Mississippi.
Clocks: 0:34 hours on 11 hr, 0:34 hours on 14 hr, 5:38 hours on 70 hr. Gain back 12:20 hours tomorrow morning.
No alarm clock ⏰ tomorrow.
