Daily Summary for 8/30/2024

No AC, heading for repair

Big Rig Steve officially done safely parked near Roanoke, Virginia at the Freightliner dealership.  Blue Comet is in for repairs to the air conditioner.  Parts will not be available until sometime on Tuesday.  BRS in the meantime has been put up in a hotel, and yes he brought his food with him.  

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 11:00 EDT at the TA in Lexington, VA.  After much deliberation, due to the Blue Comet needing repairs on the AC hose that blew overnight, BRS tried to get it fixed here but ended up needing to go to the dealership in Roanoke.  Of course, our planned trip between Stuarts Draft, VA and Edwardsville, IL was removed.

As we head out, Steve acknowledges that we only have a fan cooling the camera, and it’s not if, but when it overheats.  He will keep road crew updated on twitter/X.  As noted, stream did end when camera overheated at 12:20 EDT.

As of this writing, Steve had a major announcement on 8/31 and an hour long stream was started at 19:00 EDT.
