Groveport, OH - Gordonsville,VA - Prince George, VA
Big Rig Travels day began at 4:35 am EDT near Groveport, OH. It was 51 degrees and dark, an early start. Completed the pickup of our trailer at the shipper and started our trip to Gordonsville, VA with a fresh 70 hour clock.
Stopped at the Love’s near Circleville, OH at 5:27 am. Completed a mass weigh check on the CAT scale and picked up fresh coffee.
Mandatory brake check stop near Bragg, WV at 9:27 am. Steve messages the boss, then we begin our 7% grade downhill at 45 mph max for the next 5 miles.
Love’s stop near Low Moor, VA at 10:50 am. We had 116 miles yet to go. We also completed our 30 minute break.
Arrival at the receiver near Gordonsville, VA at 1:19 pm. The stream ends.
Second stream starts at 2:07 pm after completing our drop of our load and hook of a clean empty trailer. Beginning our next trip, deadheading, to the shipper near Prince George, VA with only 2:33 left on the 11 hour clock.
Arrival at the shipper at 3:44 pm to check in. We ended up dropping the trailer, so they could load overnight. BRS advised the shipper claimed they didn’t have any trailers to load. We now have 0:23 hrs to find bobtail parking for the night.
Arrived at the Pilot near Disputanta, VA at 5:21 pm. We will pick up the load tomorrow morning. The plan is to drive straight through the 530 miles to delivery near Forest Park, GA at 9:00 pm. Stream ended at 5:27 pm.
Numbers: (parked nearby) miles to shipper. We covered 509 miles including pick up of a preloaded trailer, delivery and then a drop of trailer at the next shipper traveling between Ohio, West Virginia and Virginia.
Clocks: 0:13 hours on 11 hr, 0:13 hours on 14 hr, 58:02 hours on 70 hr. Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.
