Title: Rough Morning
Big Rig Travels broadcast day began 4:13 PDT starting early at Loves near Ripon, CA BRS and had rough start due to not turning on the air cleaner overnight which was not good sign for how the day would go early on. Yes, we would return here later in the day.
We rolled south on CA Hwy 99 in the dark to arrive at shipper near Modesto, CA at 4:59 PDT to complete the drop and hook. Camera was flipped for the RC to hear the process. Yes, it turned into an exploration in the dark to search out the drop area and find the preloaded trailer.
Finally rolling out at 6:08 PDT BRS left shipper to roll back up Hwy 99 north towards the receiver.
6:45 PDT arrived at Flying hook near French Camp, CA for coffee ☕️ in case the live delivery goes long. Arrived at delivery destination at 7:00 PDT for 7:30 PDT delivery appointment.
11:11 PDT Broadcast resumed as diversion had taken place. Yes, delivery was rejected due to issues with confirmation number and then too “late” for appointment, so load was dropped at drop yard and empty trailer was picked up. We were then on our way back to Loves at Ripon, CA to fuel ⛽️ trailer and get trailer wash out. We were to start our next trip heading back to Modesto CA for drop and hook to start journey to Washington.
Preload was ready, camera was flipped for the drop and hook of next trailer.
14:50 PDT stopped at Loves near Lodi, CA for fuel for the Blue Comet and coffee & hotdogs
Numbers : 724 mile 1,165 km to the receiver, we covered 176 miles 283 km including picking up load, attempting delivery, then trailer swapping before picking up next trip’s trailer.
Clocks : 3:02 hours on 11 hr, 1:37 hours on 14 hr, 46:09 hours on 70 hr, do not gain back any hours tomorrow. We are 444 gallons away from Loves Platinum status for August
No alarm ⏰ clock tomorrow, will hope for better day rolling north in the morning.
