While rolling on US 54, “Alright, welcome to Texas” near Texoma. “Third state of the morning” at 6:04 am.
Welcome to Mountain Time, gaining an hour, it is now 6:30 am near Dalhart, TX.
“And, welcome to New Mexico” at 6:36 am near Nara Visa.
Love’s stop near Tucamacari, NM at 7:31 am for coffee.
Now onto I-40 west at 7:46 am.
At 8:24 am welcome to Cuervo, NM.
Driving through Albuquerque, NM around 10:30 am. Steve is spotted by Leanne Henry from an overpass.
Love’s stop near Milan, NM at 11:46 am for a 30 minute mandatory break and a FREE hot dog. Returned a call to the planners during the break, he doesn’t know what they wanted, but later finds out they wanted to change his delivery time to midnight, however it remains at 7:00 am.
Crossing the continental divide at 12:54 pm, 7299 ft elevation.
Big Rig Steve officially done at 1:29 pm near Gallup, NM.
Numbers: 329 miles to receiver. We covered 530 miles rolling through four states, KS, OK, TX and NM.
Clocks: 2:10 hours on 11 hr, 3:52 hours on 14 hr, 41:35 hours on 70 hr. Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.
