Daily Summary for 7/14/2025

Anderson, IN to Oak Grove, MO

Big Rig Travels Monday began at 7:54 am.  It was 70 degrees and mostly cloudy, leaving the shipper near Anderson, IN.  One recording 9:40 hrs.  “We are starting this trip early because this load was not to be ready until 5 pm today.”  Status changed to “on time to delivery.”  We are starting our trip west to Tolleson, AZ.  

At this point we were 420 gallons to Platinum Love’s status.

We stopped at the Love’s near Pendleton, IN for a CAT scale check and fuel.  Steve gave us a teaser, “if I have to push the trailer, we are going to California.”  Steve advised the next trip is scheduled to go to southern CA.

Welcome to IL at 9:35 am near Dennison and also Central Time Zone.

Love’s stop near Greenup, IL at 10:11 am.  

Crossing near the “Chain of Rocks” bridge which used to be a toll bridge until the 1970’s, one of the only bridges with a bend in it.  It’s a foot path now.  Granite City, IL

Welcome to Missouri near St Louis at 12:25 pm.  

30 minute break at a rest area near Windsor Place, MO at 2:40 pm.

Big Rig Steve officially done at Oak Grove, Missouri at the Petro I-70 truck stop at 4:29 pm.

Numbers:  1283 miles to receiver for a Friday 7:00 am delivery.  We covered 516 miles rolling out of Indiana, through Illinois and into Missouri.  We have 243 miles until our next fill up on the backroads of Kansas.

Clocks: 1:57 hours on 11 hr,  3:06 hours on 14 hr,  59:50 hours on 70 hr.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.
