Daily Summary for 5/1/2025

Birmingham-Moody-Birmingham-Nashville

Big Rig Travels Thursday began at 10:51 am.  It was 71 degrees and mostly cloudy as we left the Thermoking in Birmingham, AL.  We were Bobtail Bob as we were headed to Love’s to get fuel.  Steve was on the phone working on getting credit for additional miles driven to facilitate the repair.  BRS updates the road crew at 11:04 am with a summary of what had been going on with the refer unit.  Unit was not able to be repaired as the part was not available in Alabama or Tennessee at this point.  

Love’s near Moody, AL for fuel for the Blue Comet at 11:20 am.  Then we were instructed to Thermoking (Birmingham) to pick up the trailer in need of refer repair and head to Thermoking (Nashville) as they now had the essential part available.  He had been headed to another trip, but due to a change in plans was able to continue with the original load and faulty refer.

Arrived back at Thermoking at 12:07 pm to pick up our trailer and drag it to Nashville, TN which supposedly has the needed part. 
“3,2,1 welcome to Tennessee” at 1:58 pm near Ardmore.

Slowdown on I-65 near Spring Hill, TN at 2:52 pm.

Arrival at Thermoking Nashville at 4:04 pm to check in.  “I guess that’s it for now while they work on the refer.” Recording ends at 4:14 pm.
