Big Rig Steve is assumed safely parked for the day in Arizona at about 21:30 MST. We suspect he may be at a favorite parking spot near Flagstaff, AZ, but the stream died before his day ended.
Title: Back in the saddle again
Big Rig Steve returned to driving after weekend off, collecting overlay pay in sunny California. Whoo hoo!
Bigrigtravels broadcast day began in Jurupa Valley, CA at 11:16 PDT after completing drop and hook of a preloaded trailer. Yes, it was slow process.
Gloomy, cloudy and wet as we increased in elevation on I-15 slow climb.
Sun reappeared near Hesperia, CA at 12:00 PDT as we rolled further up I-15.
Near Barstow, CA, we stopped at the Loves 12:44 PDT for BRT road crew member Penny (aka mystery person from US 395). She met BRS during a gusty windy meet up at the fuel ⛽️ island. Penny had a “Hi Ellie Hi Emily-BRT Rocks” sign. Thank you for bringing BRS the brownies and Cheetos care package!
Exited on to I-40 at 13:14 PDT eastbound into dust storms.
Near Needles, CA, we left California time at 15:48 PDT and rolled across the bridge over the beautiful Colorado River that had “lots of water”. Welcome to Arizona at 15:48 MST time.
Kingman, AZ stop for a 30 minute break which was completed at the Loves during fuel stop.
Numbers : Started the day with fresh 70 hrs on the clock, ended with 56:51 hrs. BRS used all but 0:16 on the 14 hour clock. Numbers not discussed before stream ended, but did give a little update on 4/4 after new stream started in the morning after his 10 hrs stopped. He drove 536 miles 862 km for the day. Loves status currently is platinum for April as BRS was awarded an upgrade. Currently at 437 gallons to Gold status for May.
No alarm clock tomorrow morning.
Another good day for Big Rig Travels .
Welcome back to Arizona.
