Steve stopped for a crossing train, “trains, trains, everywhere a train” at 8:55 am. Steve advised he had started the day early in order to get to the receiver by 7:00 am. Steve described, “it was a big mess, but we were able to get a good door, #2 allowed for a straight back in. Worked out good.” As we waited for the now stopped train, a horn had honked from a vehicle further ahead of us, Steve responded, “Yeah, honk your horn, that gonna make the train move.”
Steve points out Six Flags Amusement Park on the right as we were traveling I-94 near Gurnee, IL at 10:39 am.
Love’s stop for coffee and to top off the refer fuel tank for the next shipper at 10:53 am near Wadsworth, IL. As we left, Steve advised, “next we need to find the Streakin’ Beacon, my goodness we are dragging.”
