Yesterday’s customer did not have any empties, so we are going to the next customer without one.
Arrival at the shipper near Maxton, NC at 9:46 am to check in to pick up our preloaded trailer.
Issues occur at 10:00 am, we are checking with the bosses to resolve. Loaded trailer acquired at 10:40 am. We are starting our trip to Findlay, OH at 10:50 am.
Stopped at the 7-11 truck stop at 11:22 am near Hamlet, NC to visit the CAT scale. Two adjustments and three mass-weigh checks were required. 33,300 on the drives, 33,800 on the tandems which leaves us with 700 pounds available for fuel.
“Alright, welcome Virginia” near Lambsburg at 2:25 pm, then a Love’s stop shortly afterwards. “We are on E-E-E-Eek and we need some Love’s coffee” at 2:30 pm.
Big Rig Steve officially done at a Pilot stop at Wythesville, VA at 3:45 pm to end the day. A muted watch party started at 3:57 pm.
Numbers: 393 miles to receiver, cannot deliver until late tomorrow evening. (Our next trip picks up at the same customer on Sunday.) We covered 253 miles including one customer. Driver’s score yesterday was 1012 and one star.
Clocks: 5:33 hours on 11 hr, 6:47 hours on 14 hr, 10:29 hours on 70 hr. Gain back 9+ hours tomorrow morning.
