Columbus, OH to Beckley, WV
Big Rig Travels day began at 4:58 am EDT. It was 40 degrees and dark near Columbus, OH. Steve had started the day at 3:30 am. He had returned to the yard to pick up an empty trailer prior to the broadcast starting. We are starting our dead head trip to the shipper near Springdale, OH.
Love’s stop near Octa, OH at 5:47 am for coffee.
Trailer washout at 6:52 am near Sharonville, OH.
Arrival at the shipper at 7:20 am to check in. Backed into a door, where the preload is now a live load, at 7:42 am as there was no apparent trailer to load. We are starting our trip to Tar Heel, NC at 11:40 am.
Flying J stop near Lebanon, OH to visit the CAT scale at 12:12 pm. “Alright, we are legal, but going to make a slight adjustment.”
An issue with the overlay is addressed and will be off for the day. Old school BRT. Snowman camera still had the overlay present.
Rest area stop to check messages.
Big Rig Steve officially done at 5:17 pm near Beckley, WV at the travel plaza. Steve has a road crew visit from the “Weirdo in the ditch” aka Greg Treadway.
Numbers: miles to receiver/shipper. We covered 368 miles including a live load. Yesterday’s driver score was 1033, rank #139 and he had gotten 4 stars.
Clocks: 0:44 hours on 11 hr, 0:44 hours on 14 hr, 5:25 hours on 70 hr. Gain back 9:06 hours tomorrow morning.
No alarm clock ⏰ tomorrow.
