Rual Hall, NC to Winchester, KY

Big Rig Travels day began at 10:43 am EDT at the Love’s in Rual Hall, NC.  It is 71 degrees and partly cloudy.  We are continuing our trip to Winchester, KY.

Welcome to Virginia at 11:30 am near Lambsburg.

I-77 slowdown at 11:57 am near Max Meadows, VA.  “Traffic blocking shown all the way up the hill.”

I-77 tunnel near Dublin, VA at 12:33 pm.  2901 ft elevation, foggy and rain upon exit.

I-77 weigh mass station near Bland, VA at 12:38 pm.  No issues.  “Checking everybody’s weight.”

Love’s stop near Bastian, VA at 12:50 pm for coffee.

Steve notes at 1:09 pm, “What happened to the sunshine, blue skies, the warm temperature, what’s up with that? Went through the tunnel and the whole thing changed.”

Another I-77 tunnel near Rocky Gap, VA at 1:14 pm.  

“Alright, another tunnel.”  Upon exit, “ok welcome to West Virginia. Did we keep signal?” at 1:16 pm near Princeton.

Slow down on I-77 at 1:45 pm near Ghent, WV.

Arrival at the receiver near Winchester, KY, found parking on the shoulder at 5:40 pm to wait for our appointment.

Numbers: 0 miles to receiver  We covered 361 miles.

Clocks: 4:22 hours on 11 hr, 6:25 hours on 14 hr, 7:52 hours on 70 hr.  Gain back 5:55 hours tomorrow morning.
