Big Rig Steve officially done for the day at 16:54 PST safely parked near Lebec, California, aka Tumbleweed City.

Title: The Great Train Race down CA-99

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 11:48 PST near Fresno, CA.  Resumed on Hwy 99 south.  It was cloudy and dry to start the day.

Stopped at the Loves near Tulare, CA at 12:58 PST waiting for a fuel approval.  Blew out the trailer as he waited.  Afterwards he found out no approval for fuel at the Loves, so had to go across the street to the Flying J.

Arrived at shipper near Tulare, CA at 14:00 PST to check in for our drop and hook.

Returned to the Loves for a mass/weigh check at the CAT scale at 15:00 PST.  Made an adjustment to the tandems and were legal and ready to go back onto Hwy 99 south.  Status changed to “On time to delivery”. 

Train race began at 15:43 PST near Delano, CA.

Welcome to Bakersfield, CA at 16:11 PST.

Numbers:  123 miles 197 km to receiver.  We covered  163 miles 262 km rolling within California. 

Clocks: 7:00 hours on 11 hr,  8:26 hours on 14 hr,  65 hours on 70 hr.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning. 

BRS proposed a 4:00-4:30 PST (as always subject to change )start time tomorrow for delivery at 8:30 PST in Ontario, CA.  Choose the BRT YouTube channel alarm bell to receive notifications for the start of our broadcast.
