Big Rig Steve officially done for the day at 17:13 MST safely parked near Boise, Idaho

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 8:41 at 76 truck stop in Lewiston, ID. On to US 12 east.
Soon after leaving Lewiston, we are not so lucky at the first mass/weigh station at 8:52. We need to pull in, park and visit inside scale house for paperwork inspection. However, no problems.
Our first historic site stop today at 9:38. 7 tunnels railroad on US 95 in Culdesac, ID. BRS missed trestle bridge on left.

Near Craigmont, ID on US 95 we passed Lawyer’s Canyon at 10:00.

BRS and the road crew had a 7% grade grade for 8 miles winding down near White Bird canyon near Grangeville, ID.

At 11:06 he stopped to post photo to Twitter X. He made several other photo stops during this trip.
Near Lucile, ID we stopped for another history lesson at 11:33 and to let some traffic pass by him.

At 12:46 MST we stopped to check out the ice cubes floating. Welcome to Mountain Standard Time near Riggins, ID.
At a rest stop near Riggins, ID at 13:12 he stopped to let cars pass him again.

45th parallel, 1/2 way between North pole where Santa lives and the equator at 13:49.
Welcome to Oregon near Ontario at 15:48 MST, then rolled onto I-84.

In search of Love’s for BC fuel and coffee at 15:55 MST.
We do re-enter Idaho at 16:19 near Fruitland, ID as we crossed Snake River again.
Numbers: 277 miles 446 km to receiver. We covered 307 miles 494 km rolling in and out of Idaho and Oregon. 8 day total 2140 miles 3444 km and an average of 7.1 mpg
Clocks: 4:04 hours on 11 hr, 5:54 hours on 14 hr, 11:21 hours on 70 hr. Gain back 7:31 hours tomorrow morning.
