Daily Summary for 12/21/2025

LaPine, OR to Pasco, WA

Big Rig Travels day began at 7:31 am PST.  It is 32 degrees and snowed overnight at the Mobil LaPine Travel Center near LaPine, OR.  We are continuing our trip to Hermiston, OR rolling out on snowy roads as the Road Crew song played.

Stop at the Love’s near Madras, OR at 9:08 am.  After leaving we get to listen to BRT songs.  

Driving on the Dalles-California Hwy US-97 through beautiful landscapes.  As we move west the snow disappears from the ground.  It is now 38 degrees as we weave our way through the canyon at 11:09 am.

We then are on I-84 US30 driving alongside the Columbia River near Arlington, OR.

Stop at Love’s near Boardman, OR at 12:08 pm.  Needs to charge the leaf blower battery.  No coffee cups at this Love’s, so needed to come back to the truck to get a cup so he could get coffee.  34 miles to go. Stream ends at 1:02 pm as he nears the customer.

New stream at 3:08 pm starts near Umatilla, OR after he completed his drop, then had picked up a bad trailer and brought to Umatilla OR to swap for a good trailer.  It is 41 and cloudy. Reports that tomorrow morning will head to the shipper. 

Welcome to Washington near Plymouth at 3:17 pm.

Big Rig Steve officially done at 3:58 pm at the Love’s near Pasco, WA.

Numbers: 18 miles to shipper will drop empty and hook to a preloaded trailer in the morning.  We covered 302 miles including a drop delivery and touching three trailers today.

Clocks: 4:06 hours on 11 hr, 4:06 hours on 14 hr, 13:55 hours on 70 hr.  Gain back 8:35 hours tomorrow morning.
