Big Rig Travels day began at 7:01 am near Lathrop, CA headed towards shipper in Lodi, CA. It is 51 degrees with the sun coming up.
Arrives to check in at 7:39 am. “Ok so, they won’t let us come in early”, so he gets into position to wait outside the customer until his appointment.
Road crew meet up with Dave as he waits at the side of the road at 8:25 am. Tries again to enter at 8:30 am which was successful, and found a waiting area, backed into dock door at 10:41 am. Pulling away at 12:37 pm and leaving shipper at 12:45 pm to head back to the yard in Lathrop to drop that load.
Stop at the Love’s in Lodi, CA to visit the CAT scale for mass-weigh check, then to top off with fuel and coffee. Stream ends as we near the yard in Lathrop at 2:14 pm. Will pick up the loaded trailer if ready and head out to receiver in Oregon in the morning.
New stream starts at 3:02 pm, BRS is leaving the yard in Lathrop, CA and starting our trip to Hermiston, OR. It is 59 degrees and overcast.
Love’s stop in Lodi, CA at 3:45 pm with new load for a mass-weigh check at the CAT scale. “78,340, we’re good”. Then looking for parking for the night.
Big Rig Steve officially done at the Love’s at 3:52 pm at Lodi CA.
Numbers: We covered 86 miles today including a live load and a trailer swap.
Clocks: 4:29 hours on 11 hr, 4:29 hours on 14 hr, 9:37 hours on 70 hr. Gain back 10:17 hours tomorrow morning.
