Daily Summary for 11/21/2024

Early snowy start

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 4:59 am EST near Howe, Indiana at the I-80 travel plaza.  It was 30 degrees dark and snowing.  Steve advises that moisture is in the air.  Camera is in nighttime mode.  Continuing our trip to Streetsboro, Ohio.  

Steve notes at 5:16 am, snow plows were standing by. 

Welcome to Ohio at 5:47 am near Montpelier.

Stopped at the Love’s by Perrysburg, OH to top off the refer tank and got fresh coffee.

Trees were appearing to be white at 8:45 am near Strongsville, OH.

At 9:21 am, arrived at the receiver near Streetboro, OH.

At 9:36 am we are bobtailing out of the customer and heading to a nearby “hidey hole” while waiting for the planners to assign a next trip, parked by 9:40 am.

New broadcast resumes at 12:38 pm.  It is now 33 and cloudy.  He is headed back to customer to pick up an empty trailer.  He leaves with the trailer at 12:58 pm heading towards Columbus, OH.  

Stopped at the Love’s near Bellville, OH at 2:27 pm.  Fuel for the Blue Comet and the trailer obtained along with coffee and hotdogs with onions for the driver.  He met a road crew member while he was inside at the coffee machine.

Arrived near the  company yard in Columbus, OH at 4:05 pm when the stream was ended.  He will do a swap of the empty trailer with the preloaded trailer with a plan to roll at 4:00 am tomorrow.  As always, this is subject to change.

Numbers:  0 miles to shipper and 96 miles to the receiver in Findlay, OH.  We covered approximately 365 miles rolling in Indiana and Ohio.  We reached Platinum status today, 460 gallons to Diamond.
